Holding on to a thought that will put me to sleep.
Just a platform to launch out into the deep.
What will I see when I make that leap?
Split the seam to a dream and I'm at it again
'till I wake and I've lost it but I can pretend
I was there breathing air from which I'll never know
looking down on the ground over which I have flown.
Then appears something I wasn't expecting to find.
So much more, so much for trying to rest up my mind.
Spend the night in a mind overactive in sleep,
I can dig it. I can dig it if there's crop to be reaped.
What will I find when I cross that line?
What will I see when I make that leap?
Split the seam to a dream and I'm at it again
'till I wake and I've lost it but I can pretend
I was there breathing air from which I'll never know
looking down on the ground over which I have flown.
