Take me to my soul, so I can understand myself.
I know there's something that resides,
Unchangeable forever inside.
Underneath my waking mind,
is the essence that I'm trying to find.
Take me to my soul,
so I can see what's really behind.
I want to go deeper than my mind
to a place where I can see it shine.
I there's something deeper than my mind,
so much deeper than my mind.
and it knows everything I need to know.
Show me to my soul
'cause I don't fully trust my mind.
I'm better off with the divine
intuition of prenatal design.
I'll place my trust in what has been
the deeper knowing presence within.
Show me to my soul
so we don't have to fight for control.
I want to go deeper than my mind
to a place where I can see it shine.
I there's something deeper than my mind,
so much deeper than my mind.
and it knows everything I need to know.
Take me to my soul
and let my blinded ego unroll.
Because with logic intertwined,
it's so easy to become misaligned.
We don't need to look far to find
the buried timeless wisdom inside.
So take me to my soul,
'cause I don't always trust my mind.
I want to go deeper than my mind
to a place where I can see it shine.
I there's something deeper than my mind,
so much deeper than my mind.
and it knows everything I need to know.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
In songs that swing from giant and anthemic to distortion-caked and widescreen, Lightning Cult conjure galaxies of sound. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 18, 2022
