Rabbit Hole 04:24
I tripped down a rabbit hole hiding in the grass Now it feeds a rabid soul, begging me to ask What's on the other side out beyond the pass I tripped down a rabbit hole and it's begging me to ask I want to know Caught in between something and nothing Where does it go? I want to see Caught in between, someplace and nowhere stuck in a cross breeze Where does it lead Stranded at sea with the shore in sight Only time can reveal it to me I tripped down a rabbit hole Onto this blind path I trust in the memory That something's guiding me Whats on the other side Out beyond the pass I tripped down a rabbit hole And it's begging me to ask I want to know Caught in between something and nothing Where does it go? I want to see Caught in between, someplace and nowhere stuck in a cross breeze Where does it lead Stranded at sea with the shore in sight Only time can reveal it to me I want to know Caught in between Where does it go? Stuck in a cross breeze All that is real Caught in between Is all that I feel Someplace and nowhere I want to see Stranded at sea with the shore in sight Only time can reveal it to me Caught in between something and nothing Caught in between, someplace and nowhere stuck in a cross breeze Stranded at sea with the shore in sight Caught in between something and nothing Only time can reveal it to me

Taking a trip to the waterfall Through the woods in the forest walls Over the rocks and the fallen tree That's where you're taking me. I'm looking down beneath this ledge Over the edge where we hang our legs I'm thinking of the words you said That this is where you can clear your head Hold on, I know that you can make it through And right now you maybe don't know what to do. So hold tight, everything's gonna be alright. Just hold tight and keep on walking to the light. Hold on, I know that you can make it through And right now you maybe don't know what to do. So hold tight, I promise it'll be alright. Just hold tight and keep on walking to the light. Hold on, hold tight I know you'll make it through because you always do Driving down Rockland Station Road All the way to the end we'll go And there we'll find a copper camp Where inside is an antler lamp Out on a deck with an absent rail Then maybe ride on a lookout trail. I'm thinking of the words you said That this is where you can clear your head. Hold on, I know that you can make it through And right now you maybe don't know what to do. So hold tight, everything's gonna be alright. Just hold tight and keep on walking to the light. Hold on, I know that you can make it through And right now you maybe don't know what to do. So hold tight, I promise it'll be alright. Just hold tight and keep on walking to the light. Hold on, hold tight I know you'll make it through because you always do Hold on, hold tight I know you'll make it through because you always do

Sedona 09:18
Take me to Sedona Why? Because you know you hear that it's a pretty place. I'm down to see another, stop and see a brother on my way from LA. Sedona I want to see you now. Sedona but I don't see how Sedona I want to see you now I want to see you now but I don't see how From the edges of my mind to the corners of my soul The truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name And truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name. What can I do? What can I do? What can I do? What can I do? Take me to Sedona I just want to know you more than through a camera lense Would it be a pleasure, a struggle or a treasure? Would it be worth it in the end? When it's over? When it's over? When it's over and we pass over, what will I wish I did? What will I wish I did? Sedona I want to see you now. Sedona but I don't see how Sedona I want to see you now I want to see you now but I don't see how From the edges of my mind to the corners of my soul The truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name And truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name. And I don't know why I've never seen it with my eyes For all I know it's a white lie Conjured up within my mind But that doesn't mean that I can't try So meet me in Sedona Why? Because you know you hear that it's a pretty place. I'm down to see another, stop and see a brother on my way from LA. And truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name. And truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name. Sedona I want to see you now. Sedona but I don't see how Sedona I want to see you now I want to see you now but I don't see how From the edges of my mind to the corners of my soul The truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name And truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name. Sedona, I want to get to know you. Sedona, I want to get to know you. Sedona, I want to get to know you. Sedona, I want to get to know you. What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? And truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name. And truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name. The truth be told I hear that old song that's calling my name (x1000000)

Gravity 05:25
I don't want to stop this feeling If it's something that feels just right I don't want to stop this feeling If it's something that feels just right No I'm not gonna stop this feeling When it's something that feels so light No I'm not gonna stop this feeling if it's something that feels just right Your gravity is outta sight Your gravity pulls to the light Your gravity is outta sight Your gravity pulls to the light I don't want to stop this feeling If it's something that feels just right I don't want to stop this feeling If it's something that feels just right I don't wanna stop this feeling When it's something that feels so light No I'm not gonna stop this feeling if it's something that feels just right Your gravity is outta sight Your gravity pulls to the light Your gravity is outta sight Your gravity pulls to the light I don't want to stop this feeling If it's something that feels just right I don't want to stop this feeling If it's something that feels just right I don't wanna stop this feeling When it's something that feels so light No I'm not gonna stop this feeling if it's something that feels just right

In the ageless time of youth, we pave our way Laying brick by clueless brick with every day As we forge ahead our path remains concealed By the end our work of art will be revealed Sometimes I start thinking, "What's it matter? But I know it does in ways I don't yet understand. When the day breaks I roll out to till my field Doing everything I can to grow my yield And I keep on walking to I don't know where But if I keep on walking someday I'll get there I was on the edge when you came calling And I opened up to find out what you are Because in the time spend on the brink of falling It seems the answer's never very far.

about

This is an album of more vocally oriented songs that I've been collecting. It spans many years of fragmented development. "Brick by Brick" was just finished last week (01.09.2020), "Rockland Station" was started in 2012 and then revisited and finished in 2019, and the title track "Song of an Eastern Wind" features sampled cassette recordings from my mom and dad dating back to 1974.

There is no underlying genre tying these songs together. They bounce from acoustic rock to house to R&B. The common thread with this album is that every song revolves around vocal melodies and lyrics.

Hope you enjoy the music!
-John O
